描かれている人物のモデルは雑誌や新聞で目にした人物達です。
どこを見ているか分からない眼差しを持っている人、強い意志を感じさせる表情の人等様々な顔がありました。
それを見て思ったことは、彼らは私とは全く異なるであろう意思を持ち、それぞれが尊くどこかで生きている（又は生きていた）ということです。
そういう彼らを私が描くほんの短い時間だけは、もしかしたら私と彼らは繫がる事が出来るのではないかと思うのです。

The portraits of this work are referenced from magazines and publications. Each figure conveys a different expression, a sense of dream or determination. In actuality somewhere each exists in their own state, each has their own mind, unrelated to mine, but whilst I draw for a brief moment I sense a connection with their being.
